White Heart Development Initiative

White Heart Development Initiative (WHDI) is a registered non-governmental, nonprofit organisation committed to improving the lives of women, children, girls, and vulnerable communities through inclusive, rights-based, and community-driven interventions.

Founded in response to persistent inequalities in access to healthcare, education, protection, and economic opportunities, WHDI works closely with communities to design and implement sustainable solutions that promote dignity, empowerment, and social justice.

The Challenge

Why We Exist

Nigeria continues to face complex challenges affecting women and children, including poverty, poor access to healthcare, gender-based violence, child neglect, and limited educational opportunities.

These challenges disproportionately affect girls and women in underserved communities.

White Heart Development Initiative was established to respond to these realities by providing direct support, advocacy, capacity building, and community engagement that address both immediate needs and long-term systemic change.

Women Empowerment

We work to empower women economically, socially, and psychologically through:

  • Supporting vulnerable sick children with medical bills and surgeries
