MEET A MENTOR
As part of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence 2024, White Heart Development Initiative implemented the Meet-a-Mentor Programme to empower adolescent girls through meaningful mentorship. The initiative connected 40 girls from four schools with accomplished women leaders who shared their experiences, inspired confidence, and encouraged the girls to envision and pursue brighter futures.

Back to School Support
The Back-to-School Support Initiative was implemented to address the challenge of children being out of school due to lack of basic learning materials. On 21st November 2024, White Heart Development Initiative in partnership with AMG Foundation, 150 boys and girls were provided with essential school supplies including bags, uniforms, books, and writing materials. The intervention enabled children to return to school better prepared, confident, and ready to learn.

GIRLS THE LIGHT PROGRAM: MENSTRUAL HYGIENE & DIGINITY PHASE II
The Menstrual Health & Dignity Programme by White Heart Development Initiative was designed to address menstrual poverty and promote the well-being of adolescent girls. Through this initiative, 50 girls from Government Girls Upper Basic Secondary School Yusuf Mai Ulu Kundila received menstrual hygiene education and dignity kits to support their health, confidence, and consistent school attendance.

GIRLS THE LIGHT: GIRLS SKILLS DEVELOPMENT AND ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT
The Girls Skills Development & Economic Empowerment Programme by White Heart Development Initiative, with support from Witness Africa, equipped 150 adolescent girls with practical, income-generating skills. The initiative focused on building self-reliance and financial independence by training participants in the production of everyday products and crafts that can serve as sustainable sources of income.
