Why We Exist
Nigeria continues to face complex challenges affecting women and children, including poverty, poor access to healthcare, gender-based violence, child neglect, and limited educational opportunities.
These challenges disproportionately affect girls and women in underserved communities. WHDI was established to respond to these realities.
Driving Change Through Community-Led Interventions
White Heart Development Initiative (WHDI) is a registered non-governmental, nonprofit organisation committed to improving the lives of women, children, girls, and vulnerable communities through inclusive, rights-based, and community-driven interventions.
We believe that every community has the potential to drive the changes they desire if empowered to do so. We believe that women and children are not just beneficiaries of development, but agents of change.
